In winter, the skin of the face and hands often becomes dry. Applying creams and lotions containing chemicals found nowadays and excessive use of soap means not removing the soap properly from the body causing dry skin.

But before taking care of the skin, it is important to know what the skin is like. There are 4 types of skin – oily, dry, mixed, and normal. Different types of skin require different types of care. The easiest way to maintain moisture and softness in the hands during the winter season is whenever you do any water work, wipe your hands thoroughly and apply moisturizer immediately. Glycerin and rose water are also mentioned in Ayurveda and it is easy to use. Rose water is easily available in the market, mix 50 per cent glycerin and vitamin E capsules in it. Apply it on your face hands and feet after a bath and before going to bed at night, this will prevent your skin from getting dry.

vIn winter the skin becomes very dry and lifeless. For this, it is necessary to apply a lotion containing vitamin E. Wash the face with clean water and use it daily at night.

vTo make the skin alive and soft in winter, mix aloe vera gel and vitamin E capsule apply it on the face and let it dry for a while. After this, massage it with light hands and then wash it with lukewarm water.

 vBe it winter or summer, drink plenty of water so that there is no shortage of water in the body. If there is a sufficient amount of water, then the skin will not be dead and the glow will always be there.

vIrrespective of the season, if you want to take care of your skin, it is most important to eat a balanced diet. Drink enough water daily. Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables. If it is winter, include plenty of things like carrots, spinach, fenugreek, mustard, and lemon in your diet.

vMake a pack by mixing a spoonful of butter and a little lemon and honey in 2 spoons of honey and apply it on the hands and neck apart from the face. Leave it like this for about half an hour and then wash it with lukewarm water. Do this daily in winter. This will not only make the skin soft and healthy, but the complexion will also be fair.

vCoconut oil- Instead of cream or lotion in winter, use coconut oil to soften the skin. This nourishes the skin and removes dryness. Coconut oil keeps the skin hydrated. For this, put coconut oil on your palm and massage your hands.

vPetroleum Jelly- You can also use petroleum jelly to reduce the dryness of your hands. Massage your hands thoroughly every night before sleeping.

vGram flour, curd, and turmeric are found in every house. So mix them and make a paste and use them. Apply this paste for 20 minutes and leave it lightly. Later take a bath with fresh water. This process can be used two to three times a week.

To bring shine to the hands, grind fresh orange peels and apply them on the hands and this will enhance the beauty of the hands.
